Privacy Policy

01

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Alafia Digital ("we," "us") collects through this website, how we use it, and what choices you have. It applies to visitors and prospective clients interacting with this site — not to the practice websites we build for clients, which are governed by each client's own privacy policy.

02

Information We Collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide directly — typically your name, email address, practice name, and message content, along with which service you've indicated interest in.

If you become a client, we additionally collect information necessary to deliver the Services, such as billing details (processed by our payment provider, not stored by us directly) and login/account information needed to set up and configure your hosting and CMS accounts as part of a project or Recommission.

We may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as general browser and device information, for basic site analytics.

03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to inquiries, scope and deliver project work, complete Recommissions when requested, send invoices and service-related communications, and improve this website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

04

Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party services to operate our business and deliver the Services, including Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting infrastructure), and Sanity (content management). These providers may process personal information on our behalf, subject to their own privacy policies.

Contact form submissions may be processed through a third-party form service. We choose providers with reasonable security practices, but we can't guarantee the practices of services we don't operate directly.

05

Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and client records for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, deliver the Services, and meet reasonable business, accounting, and legal recordkeeping needs. You can request deletion of information we hold about you at any time, subject to Section 07.

06

Cookies & Analytics

This site may use basic, privacy-conscious analytics to understand overall traffic patterns (e.g. which pages are visited). We do not use invasive tracking or sell data to advertising networks. If we add any analytics or cookie-based tools in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

07

Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and withdraw consent for our use of it, subject to legal or contractual limitations.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

08

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on reputable third-party providers with their own security practices for payments, hosting, and content storage. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

09

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
